COVID-19 Policy

We have created the following policy to help protect our patients and consultants from COVID-19. We ask that you read through this policy and sign the consent to acknowledge and agree to these safety precautions.

How We Protect You

  • We instituted a patient screening process for COVID-19 symptoms or exposure risk.

  • Our consultants monitor their health and take precautions to reduce their own exposure risk as much as possible.

  • We thoroughly disinfect the clinic between each patient following Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines. We have increased the spacing between appointments to give us time to do this.

  • We have hand sanitizer available during the appointment.

Patient Requirements

  • Patients who are experiencing any COVID-19 related symptoms or have come in contact with someone who is experiencing symptoms or is suspected to have COVID-19 will need to reschedule their appointment for when they have been symptom-free for 3 days, or 14 days have passed since possible exposure (if they have no symptoms).

  • Patients must answer a COVID-19 questionnaire before their appointment and will be asked to confirm at each appointment that they are not at risk for COVID-19 and are not experiencing any symptoms.

  • We ask that only the lactating person and their baby or babies and one support person accompany the patient to their appointment.

  • All patients and any accompanying support person must wear a face mask when inside the building.

  • We ask all patients and any accompanying support person to wash or sanitize their hands when they first enter the building.

What to Expect at Your Appointment

  • Please wait in your car until your appointment time.

  • You and any accompanying support person will be asked to wear a mask when inside the building. Please bring your own mask.

  • You and any accompanying support person will be asked the COVID-19 screening questions as stated below.

  • Your consultant will show you where the bathroom is so you can wash your hands before entering the clinic.

During your appointment, your consultant will use hand sanitizer in addition to washing their hands. Gloves will be worn by your consultant if conducting an oral exam on your baby as well if hands-on support is needed to assist with latch. At such times during the visit, your consultant will be in close contact, but at all other times of the visit, your consultant will maintain a distance of six feet.
